Wedding Cake Display in the Bridal Exhibition - Chinese Wedding Themed

This was the second themed cake that I did for the dispaly during the Bridal Exhibition in Royale Bintang Seremban Hotel.  As you can see, the design is very oriental and obviously the chosen colour was red and black.. but I wanted to soften the look therefore, I did a white base to create that clean look yet still have that oriental feel.  This was my first time doing the chinese bridal figurines with their outfit.. but I'm quite happy as both look very cute hehe.. added the love heart behind to complete the final result that Im after! Hope you like it!! :))

Wedding Cakes Display in The Bridal Exhibition - Western Themed

Last month, I had two of my wedding cakes displayed in the Royale Bintang Hotel (Seremban) Bridal Exhibition.  I worked together with a friend of mine who a florist - Legato Florist.  She's a very talented floral decoration artist.  As her colour themed for the "Western Themed Wedding" was cream and black, I tried to have the cake match the theme.  I wanted to create a very elegant wedding cake.  So hence, comes this design ~ a four tiers wedding cake with crystal and pearl design.  Beautifully Simple yet Strikingly Elegant! I'm  actually very happy with the result! :)))

Purple Themed Wedding Cake

 Made this very simple wedding cake for a "Kenduri Malay Wedding", requested the lilac/purple theme with the couple's initial!! So heres the final result!! hehe..

My First Big Wedding Order - 400 cupcakes!!

The past 3 weeks, my energy and most of my time were spent on this 'big event' .. YAY.. MY FIRST BIG ORDER FOR A WEDDING!! What was my feeling?  hmmmm.....lets see!! * NERVOUS* , * EXCITED* , * HAPPY* ,* SCARED* TICK TICK TICK TO ALL plus more!! I cant really describe it but those cake decorators out there, Im pretty sure you know what Im talking about! * lol* At one stage, I thought to myself, why did I agreed to this? I mean, Im a fulltime working mother but I did decided to take a day off work just to complete this order! Plus.. I was soo lucky, my mum & sister who lived in Australia actually came to Malaysia to visit me and boy was it good timing or what!! If it wasnt for them, Im not sure how I could pull it off!! Thank you sooo sooo much MUM & SIS for the great help in this order!! Greatly appreciated it!!  Especially during the mishaps that happened that day.. You see, I had a slight accident accident where one of the box that I kept 60 cupcakes fell down and toppled on the floor.. and more than half were ruined.. luckily i baked extra cupcakes and have a spare fondant decors (purposely did extras).. and the fact that we're 3 hours ahead of schedule!! Thank God for that!!!

Anyway, the order was a cupcakes as the wedding favour for each attendee guest.  I kept the design simple as I didnt dare to proposed too complicated design as this was my first! (didnt want to stuff it up .. :P).  There were 2 designs to this (one was a flower and another was the couple's initial in a heart shaped fondant).  The wedding tags were included in the packaging!

I wanted the bear bride to have a bit of sparkle.. so I used this non-edible crystal as her pendant.. hihi..

The Royale Bintang Wedding Expo

I got a last minute call from my florist friend who did all the table and floral arrangements at one of Seremban's best hotel last week.  Its very last minute (the day itself) but Im thrilled and jumped at the opportunity as the other cake vendors pulled out last minute so theres a space for me to showcase my cupcakes.. Since the timing given were very short, I only managed to design 9 wedding themed cupcakes and packaged some in a box. 

So yeah.. heres some picture of my wedding themed cupcakes and the expo's pictures!! Enjoy!!!
