Twenty Twelve!!

I know, I Know!!! .. It has been over a month of my dissapearance.. How time really flies, cant believe its the end of January 2012 already!! I havent baked a single goodies since the last day of 2011.. and Gosh how I missed it so!! Ive had so many things to do now, and my last maid's contract finished beginning of 2012, supposed to get my replacement to come in this week but last week my agent called and told me the bad news, they couldnt contact the Filipino maid that we have chosen as the applicant.  I cant believe it, all her paperwork both from Malaysia and Phillipine has been approved under our name and all set to go, just need to buy her ticket to come here... I thought Filipino maids are more responsible and professional over Indo or Cambodia maid.. Guess not huh!! Bad first impression , for me at least!! Now I have to put baking aside cos not only I have to work full time in my office job, I also have to look after my 4yrs old boy fulltime, lucky I can bring him to work after picking him up from the kindergarten... To make matter worse, its Chinese New Year time so I cant get any part time cleaner cos all of them are full booked!! (btw, Happy Chinese New Year to all the Chinese People who celebrate it)!!

So there you go, my full excuse of my dissapearance.. hehe.. and thanks for listening to my rambling!! Anyway, although my next maid wont be coming for another 2-3months (*finger crossed*), I decided i wont totally stop baking or taking order.. I missed it too much :P  I will still take order, although it'll only be 1-2 order a month.  Sorryyyy for those customers who I rejected, but hope you understand.. its only temporary!! :)))

This LV Multicoloure Monogram inspired design was a simple one, the reason was cos I was soo sick few days before this order due and for the first time, I had to call to cancel my order as Im unable to make 16  3D LV bags for her, but she was so sweet to tell me to do whatever I can and if really cant, then its also fine.. So yeah.. cant dissapoint a sweet understanding customer like that, I managed to make 1 3D bag and the rest just a very simple design :)

Heres another simple order from a customer whose order I have twice rejected due to me being in overseas.  So although I had two other order that weekend, I told her I will do the cupcakes for her son's 2nd birthday as I felt so bad each time I had to turn her down.. The design was from her, it was taken from her son's favourite ABC's cartoon book!!



This was my failed attempt to make a VW car as I think it looked far from it.. :(( luckily it was my close friend who ordered it and I did warn her that I have never attempted to do a 3D car and dont think i can do a good job - true enough.. im kinda embarrased but learned a lot from my mistake!!
I guess practice makes perfect hey!

Chanel Inspired Cupcakes Set

This time around, the order comes from a guy! He wanted a Chanel Themed cupcakes and showed me a picture of it (he got it off someone's else blog and asked me to do the exact replica, i told him i will try my best but it will not be exact as each baker has different forms of art).  I tried to google it and found the original design was from this very talented girl in singapore, her website is celebrate with cakes under bake a log.  

Anyway, my customer,  He's very detailed when explaining what he wants, which was very rare I find.. hehe.. dont get me wrong, usually girls are the more detailed creatures (arent we??) but yeah.. this was my 3rd enquiry from a guy customer and I remembered during the time I accepted the order, I thought to myself.. "what a lucky girlfriend this guy has".. Anyway.. both were very happy with my creation and he sent me a "Thank You" sms saying his gf was thrilled & loving hte cake!! Ahhhh.. thats just made my day!! :))

Classic Chanel Cake

I made this cake on the same night after I finished the Amway Diamond Pin Cake.  This cake is very special as this is for my good friend's birthday, her birthday falls on new year's eve.. and so happened we're having a new year's eve celebration at a friend's house in KL.. so I planned to give her a suprised.. and yup.. she was suprised.. unfortunately, I couldnt make the cake tat I intended to, at first I wanted to make a 3D fashion bag Cake but due to the other order that I took ealier, time just didnt persist.. So yeah.. just a simple classic design for my dearest friend Christine!! love ya.. gal!!

I H.E.A.R.T. Louis Vuitton!!!

Yup.. the Title revealed it..BINGO!! You've guessed it correct!!! It's a LV themed cake & cupcakes set that I did.. Was super duper super hahaha.. beyond excited (and cant zzz for days.. haha.. thinking abt it.. *giggles**) when received the enquiry.. and all the types of LV bags were playing in my head!!! Neverfull , Speedy.. and the list goes on.. (*lol..*).. and the customer requested to have shoes on top of the cake.. so was hahhahah even more excited.. So thrilled.. Now I can tick this off my "wish to do cake design list" as Im quite pleased with the results!!! :))) Btw, choose to do the most classic themed of LV ~ Monogram Canvas!!

At first, the customer requested for 20 cupcakes with all the topper to be 3D mini LV bags.. and I was yeah.. hahah (you're right again).. freakin out.. and nego with him and *LOL*.. turned out he was just pulling my leg! Yes, this order is from a guy ~ so far hmm... I think my first Guy customer that ordered cake from me and hehe its quite different dealing with a guy customer than gals.. To them, just tell them the cake themed, price tags, deposit paid and time of collection.. so straight forward.. hehe.. good and bad I guess *grin*.

Haute Couture Shoes Cake ~ Classic Vintage Theme

I just loveeeeddd making this shoes..and so satisfy that I've finally able to make this as this has been in my(hhahaha yes..) List to make cake.. so now I can strike it off.. *laughss*

Anyway, I made this cake for my good friend's birthday, she's in her 30s and owns a pair of Ferragamo shoes. This is my first time doing a gumpaste shoes, its much harder than I thought it would be. But Im quite happy on how it turned out. This cake to me looked very Vintage Classic looking and I thought its very elegant and so ladylike. A perfect cake for the fashionable lady!!

Its every girl and woman's dreams to own Designer goods... especially LV and Chanel Bags.. hehe but since not everybody can afford em' Why not order some Designer's cupcakezz instead..
