Chic & Sexy 21st Bday Cake

When a girl customer called me n request for me to design a cake for her (any theme in red & black colour theme) for her 21st Birthday Party, the first thought that came through my head was Red = Sexy and Black = Chic.. so the rest pretty much comes into place quite easily!!! I loved this cake and so did the birthday girl!! (*huge grin of satisfaction**)..

Jewwel Visiting The Zoo

For this cake and cupcakes set, my customer requested a figurine of her daughter named Jewwel. She likes to go to the Singapore Zoo and loves to bring her Elmo doll everywhere and also loves animals.. so this theme is so perfect for her Bday cake!! At the same time , my customer also requested to have the figurine's dress (emailed me pic) to be the dress that Jewwel will be wearing for the party!!  :PP i really love this lil gal doll figurine and so saddd to let her go!! sniff ...:( but shes off to a better home!! :)

Parisian Chic Sets Theme

So the story goes like this, a few weeks ago, I got an email in my FB from a friend's friend who wanted a birthday cake for her 1 year old Baby Girl. She said she bought a 'sailor' dress for her daughter to wear and would like the same theme to go with it and was thinking of sea/ocean theme.. and did a lot of brainstorm on the ocean/sea theme that goes well with girl's party. But after seeing the pic of the birthday girl, I told her that to me it didnt really look like a sailor theme and recommend to have the same colour matching to the dress... so yeah after a lot of back-forth emails, we settled with the theme of "Pink and Black" cupcakes with initials, some polka dots to make it looks more kids like cake and black ribbon.. and a big cake for the main cake that has the baby figurine with the matching beret hat and a black ribbon wrapped around the cake to resemble her dress.. including the frills of the cake to resemble the skirt dress.. :P

We also agreed to have 14 cupcakes to be put inside the box for the kids to take home as their goodies bags. And I even did a sample of the cupcake (initially we agreed on white based buttercream swirl with the 'J' initial on tope) and she was happy with it b ut last minute due to some miscalculation error on my side, I decided to do full fondant cupcake design instead.. (*grin..*) but was very pleased with the results as its was so much better and very eye catching.. Anyway, I really enjoyed making this theme and very happy with the results.. :) Btw, I did two flavours, the main cake was Tiramisu flavour cake with Cream baileys frosting and the cupcakes were Vanilla with chocolate chips with strawberry frosting. The big bow of the main cake, this time i decided to use Chocolate flavour fondant.. very very yummie....(*slurpss..*) why didnt i discover this sooner?? now ill never go back to plain flavour fondant.. (*giggles*)....

This was the customer's photos that she sent me and how they arrange the cakes and cupcakes, I didnt have time to take picture of the cupcakes that was in the favour box.. at least this makes up for it..!! :P ~ thanks Jova for the pic.

Colourful Ball Pit!!

What's every lil kid's like?? colourful balls, jumping around in the ball pit, sugar, candies, chocolates.. rainbow??!! WELL..this cake has it all.. its every kid's imaginary playground... Made this cake for a 1 year old Birthday gal, the theme was inspired by a friend who mentioned the word Balloons on this latest movie..cant really recall the name.. hmm.. "up..up and away??" The story of this man that hangs lots of baloons to this hot air baloon.. im not really sure if I got the whole storyline correct..but oh well.. hehe.. thats what inspired me to make this super duper colourful cake!! Flavour was Lemon Buttercake!! very fresh.. as fresh as this theme cake!!

Bonding Time with Beloved Daddy

This cake was requested by this girl who wanted a Birthday cake for her Dad. She wanted to have a cake that resembled the closeness and bonding ambience between her and her dad. So I choose this theme of a father and daughter sitting on their living room area just having a father/daughter time, playing chess and having some snacks and drinks. Flavour of this 1.3kg cake was Chocolate almond.

Golf Theme Buddies Cake

My customer wanted a cake for her beloved HB and his close friend who happened to be celebrating their birthday together. Since both of the men loves to play golf, I suggested the golf themed cake with each figurine resembling the guys. It's quite a fun cake to make and I was quite happy with the result. The cake's flavour was chocolate mudcake with Cream baileys frosting.

Ps: The customer smsed me that nite saying "Everyone stared at the cake amaze and the cake is good, thanks.. " always so happy hearing a good comment from customer.. makes my heart jumps in joy.. thanks Jamie..
